What we're looking for

  • An MBO 2-level education in gas technology (or similar).

Pay & benefits

What you'll get

All financial employment conditions at a glance, so you know exactly what to expect:

  • A salary up to a maximum of € 4302,- gross per month if you work 40 hours.

  • A personal budget of 24% on top of your salary (incl. holiday allowance). That means a maximum of €1032,48,- extra salary or up to 35.5 extra holiday days.

  • Because you work outdoors, you must provide for your own coffee or tea. Therefore, you receive a field allowance of €80,- net from us on top of your salary.

On top of that, there is this:

  • You will receive a company van from us. This way, you are behind the wheel of your own work! And you can immediately store your newest tools.

  • € 700 (gross) annually to spend on your own energy, for example, sports or vitality.

  • Grow and develop? With us, it is possible. Follow courses or training; we pay for them. Or grow into roles such as Technical Specialist or contractor.

The role

As a First-Class Gas Technician, you are not just a number, but a colleague others rely on. In a close-knit team, you ensure a safe gas network for today and work on the energy supply of tomorrow, such as applications with hydrogen gas.

What you'll do

You keep the gas network safe and reliable. You do this in people's homes and in residential areas. You work safely, collaboratively, and according to agreements, because in gas work, you want to be able to rely on your colleagues. And in the meantime, you ensure that everyone stays warm at home.

A day as a first-class gas technician:

  • You start your day from home. You check the planning for today and know exactly where you need to go and what you are going to do.

  • As the first-class technician on the job, you mentor apprentice technicians. You maintain the overview, monitor the quality of the work, and enjoy teaching the new generation the tricks of the trade.

  • You work neatly and safely: measuring, checking, pressure testing where necessary, and everything according to VIAG/VCA agreements.

  • You have contact with customers or contractors and briefly explain what you are going to do and what they can expect.

  • At the end of the day, you wrap things up: administration in order on your tablet, handover arranged, and your van ready for tomorrow again.

Your energy in the plus

Why working at Stedin will energize you:

  • Good work-life balance: your schedule is clear and you have energy left after your work.

  • Appreciation you can feel: a good salary, top-tier tools, and a well-maintained van.

  • A close-knit team in which you help each other and trust each other.

With these qualities, you will grow here

Getting dirty hands? No problem for you. You roll up your sleeves and tackle the work with both hands. You enjoy working together. You like having variety and take safety seriously. You leave the work in good order, so that you and your colleagues go home safely at the end of the day.

Take the step towards your next challenge
We look forward to meeting you.
This is still good to know:

  • You may include a cover letter, but it is not required.

  • In principle, you work 40 hours per week. 32 hours is also an option.

  • Questions? Contact Tessa van den Hoek via Tessa.vandenHoek@stedin.net or 0625005100.

In their own words

About the company & team

You work in the consumer department from the Delft region. This is a team of about 25 colleagues who work closely together: The mutual atmosphere is good. You see each other often, help each other forward, and there is also room for a joke. But if something is not safe, there is also room to say so. Because working with gas is not without risk, so safety is part of the daily practice.

First-class technician Jeffrey confirms that: "You are not just a number here. Stedin emphasizes quality and safety, so that you grow old in good health."
