Our Natural Resources - Oil, Gas & Chemicals business line carries out port-related inspections, controls and analyses in the oil and (petro)chemical industry. The activities consist primarily of performing quantitative and qualitative inspections and analyses on a very wide range of liquid petroleum/petrochemical products.
For our Oil, Gas and Chemicals chemistry laboratory in Spijkenisse we are looking for a Chemical Analyst who enjoys working in 5-shift service.
In the versatile role of chemical analyst at SGS, you will independently perform a wide spectrum of chemical analyses on liquid oil products, using various physical techniques such as GC, ICP, and HPLC. You will also deal with titrations and wet chemical analyses. The laboratory is ISO9001 certified and ISO17025 accredited.
In the Chemical Analyst position, you will independently perform a wide spectrum of chemical analyses, both on liquid oil products and on various chemical substances and industrial gases. You will work with a varied package of analytical techniques, including GC, ICP, HPLC, titrations, and other physical and instrumental methods. The laboratory is ISO9001 certified and ISO17025 accredited.
The sample range is very diverse and includes, among others, alcohols, aromatics, acids, customer-specific products, and various industrial gases. Due to this variation and the broad spectrum of analytical techniques, the position is challenging, varied, and engaging.
You will join a team of approximately 20 analysts, from KMLO to HLO level, in an open and productive working atmosphere. The work is carried out in 5-shift service.
