The role
Nice to know (you)
- Safety is the most important core value for Schiphol as the foundation for a carefree passenger experience. That is at the forefront of everything we do. Safe, predictable, and pleasant. For our passengers and our employees.
- You will be part of a professional team and together you will contribute to the perfect match between the demand and supply of security personnel. Every day, you are committed to delivering a safe and carefree journey to our passengers.
- Happy travelers, airlines, and employees, in balance with the environment.
Connecting your world
As a Capacity Analyst, you are responsible for the capacity demand and for realizing optimal staff deployment within the frameworks of safety, service, and budget for all security staff across the entire airport. You look beyond today's planning. You analyze developments in demand and capacity, investigate deviations between forecast, planning, and realization, and translate data into concrete insights and advice. In doing so, you work closely with colleagues from other teams, including Schiphol Security, Operations, and Finance. Additionally, you are an important stakeholder for external partners such as the KMAR and security companies. And how you approach this? That is up to you. We trust in the way you ensure the right balance. You succeed at this even when the situation is hectic or stressful. You will apply your talents to:
- analyzing and modeling capacity, whereby you make capacity developments, demand, and personnel availability transparent and develop scenarios and impact analyses.
- governance and optimization of capacity models, planning parameters, and principles, including documentation, validation, and change management.
- monitoring and improving the quality of capacity and planning processes, by analyzing deviations between forecast, planning, and realization and identifying structural improvements.
- strengthening data-driven and automated planning, whereby you monitor data quality, develop dashboards and management information, and contribute to the optimization of planning processes and systems.
- advising management, operations, and suppliers on capacity issues, risks, scenarios, and improvement possibilities, and translating complex analyses into clear and actionable advice.
- initiating and realizing improvements, whereby you implement and safeguard improvements in processes, systems, parameters, and working methods together with stakeholders.
You will join a department that is fully in development. Central Resource Planning is growing from an organization in which several resource planners and a capacity analyst are central, to a department in which capacity analysis, data-driven management, and automated planning become increasingly important. This means that you are not only responsible for analyzing the current situation, but also actively help build the way Schiphol handles capacity and planning in the future. You report to the Manager Central Resource Planning.
