Do you derive energy from diagnosing machine problems and clearly translating complex technology into concrete insights? Then this position at Royal IHC is for you.
As a Machinery Diagnostics Engineer, you will carry out measurement campaigns onboard newbuild vessels of Royal IHC and operational vessels of our customers. You will be part of the Measurements & Diagnostics Services (MDS) department within the Service organization of Royal IHC.
The goal of these campaigns is to assess system performance and to analyze and resolve technical faults. You will work with diverse measurements, including pump performance, vibration and noise analyses, shaft power, Operational Deflection Shape (ODS), and modal analyses.
You are responsible for the entire process: from the initial contact with internal and external customers, the preparation and execution of measurements onboard, to data analysis and reporting. Through your analyses, you contribute directly to improving the performance, quality, and reliability of critical machinery.
An assignment rarely starts with just a measurement and does not end with the delivery of a report. You are often involved early on in determining measurement configurations and conditions and also play an active role in follow-up steps resulting from your recommendations. In doing so, you work closely with specialists from various disciplines within Royal IHC. Depending on the assignment, you also act as a technical advisor.
Additionally, we support condition monitoring services: from the integration of intelligent online monitoring systems in newbuild vessels to the development of test setups and the analysis of data.
