What we're looking for

  • Are an independent technician at heart, with a good basic knowledge of hydraulics and electrotechnics, who works in a solution-oriented manner;
  • Are used to working independently and can improvise;
  • Possess a service-oriented attitude;
  • Have an affinity with heavy industry and love tinkering under various conditions;
  • Are handy and accurate in preparing reports;
  • Possess a driving license B(E);
  • Master the English language in speech and writing;
  • Possessing a technical education such as, for example, all-round mechanic, SBW/SOMA, or MTS motor vehicle technology is a plus.

Where you have gained (work) experience is less relevant, but think of technical professions within maritime and aviation, automotive and truck technology, or offshore. Even better, of course, if gained within the crane industry.

The role

No two days are the same in the world of maritime cranes! Do you love technology, are you service-oriented, and can you work independently? Then we are looking for you!

What you'll do

As a Service Engineer, you will work both independently and within a team on mechanical, hydraulic, or electrotechnical assignments. You will perform this work on ship cranes.

  • Performing repairs, routine service, and maintenance on ship cranes
  • Operating and inspecting these machines
  • Investigating faults and performing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnoses
  • Analyzing and solving problems with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Preparing complete and detailed service reports
  • Assembling and commissioning new machines
  • Periodically being on stand-by outside of office hours for emergencies and breakdowns
