How do you ensure that an engineering organization not only grows, but above all becomes smarter? At Royal IHC, we are looking for an experienced Manager Engineering who looks beyond the daily operations. A leader who inspires technical professionals, brings structure, and actively contributes to the further development of our engineering organization.
You are not the technical specialist who has all the technical answers. Instead, you create the circumstances in which engineers, lead engineers, and specialists can excel. At the same time, you challenge existing ways of working and help make Engineering more efficient, scalable, and future-proof. This is a role for someone who gets energy from building, improving, and changing.
Royal IHC develops and realizes complex maritime technology for customers all over the world. Behind every successful ship, system, or installation stands a strong team of engineers.
As Manager Engineering, you provide direction to that team.
You combine people-oriented leadership with organizational development. You develop talent, create focus, and ensure that capacity, knowledge, and expertise are utilized optimally.
In addition, you play an important role in the further professionalization of Engineering. You look critically at processes, collaboration, standardization, and the smart deployment of technology. You investigate how digitalization, automation, data, and AI can contribute to a more efficient and effective organization.
With this, you receive not only the responsibility for a team, but also the opportunity to exert actual influence on the future of Engineering within Royal IHC.
You are responsible for the leadership, development, and further professionalization of your engineering team.
Additionally:
We are looking for an experienced leader who knows how to let technical professionals grow and further develop organizations.
You understand the challenges of a complex engineering environment and know how to bring people along in change. You combine vision with decisiveness and are able to make an impact both operationally and strategically.
Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
No maritime experience? No problem.
Our engineers know our technology, products, and systems in great detail.
Therefore, we are not necessarily looking for someone from the maritime sector. We are also open to candidates from, for example, high-tech, mechanical engineering, semiconductor, automotive, energy, offshore, industrial automation, or other complex technical environments.
Technical affinity is important, however. New insights, fresh ideas, and a different perspective on Engineering may be even more so.
At Royal IHC, we are not looking for a manager who guards the status quo. We are looking for a leader who empowers people, further develops organizations, and helps prepare Engineering for the future. Do you see opportunities where others see limitations? Do you get energy from change, development, and building strong teams? Then we would like to meet you.
