Cost Engineer Defence

• A gross monthly salary between €5,700 and €8,565 + 8% holiday allowance.

Royal IHC is looking for a Cost Engineer Defence. Do you want to help build ships and systems that truly have an impact? And do you get energy from calculating, analyzing, and understanding complex technical projects? Then this is a wonderful role within our Defence organization.

As a Cost Engineer at Royal IHC, you ensure that we can offer our customers realistic, sharp, and reliable budgets. You work closely with colleagues from Sales & Proposals, engineering, and our suppliers. With your analyses, you lay the foundation for multi-million euro projects.

In this position, you translate technical information, supplier data, and project experience into clear cost calculations. You will have an important voice in our bidding processes for Defence ships, equipment, and maintenance programs.

• Analyzing customer specifications (RFQs) together with proposal management.
• Preparing and improving cost calculations using various methodologies.
• Requesting and evaluating supplier quotes.
• Describing technical specifications that align with the customer's requirements.
• Identifying cost risks as well as alternatives.
• Performing post-calculations to improve our processes and calculation models.
• Collaborating with planning and engineering to arrive at realistic cost estimates.

You will join a close-knit, diverse, and experienced team. We have several cost estimators who will show you the ropes within our Defence projects. You report to the Sales Director Defence.
