What we're looking for

· MBO or HBO level of work and thinking in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, maritime technology, or electrical engineering.

· Experience in yacht building, shipbuilding, or maritime technology.

· Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

· You can read technical drawings and diagrams.

· You work independently and in a structured manner.

· You communicate clearly and professionally in Dutch and English.

· You are flexible and consider international travel to be a matter of course.

Rondal is a manufacturer of masts and booms, winches and deck equipment, hatches and windbreaks, and composite products in the superyacht industry for both sailing and motor yachts, serving an exclusive global clientele.

The Rondal service team works together with customers and crews of vessels in operation, as well as Rondal's clients.

For our service team, we are looking for a

Field service engineer

What you'll do

As a field service engineer, you are the face of Rondal, working worldwide aboard superyachts and at shipyards. You ensure our systems function optimally by installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining them. You analyze malfunctions and resolve them independently. In doing so, you look beyond the immediate solution and ensure sustainable improvements.

You are the technical point of contact for captains, crew, and shipyards. You explain clearly what you are doing and what is required. You represent Rondal professionally and build strong relationships with customers and partners.

In your work, you combine technology with responsibility. You perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrotechnical systems. You analyze performance and prevent recurring problems. During malfunctions or urgent tasks, you act quickly and work purposefully toward a solution. You work closely with colleagues from engineering, production, and project management. You record your activities in clear service reports and ensure everything meets safety and quality standards. Based on your practical experience, you actively contribute to improvements in products and working methods.
