Work with advanced AI technology and contribute to a safer and more secure world. DroneShield (ASX) offers you the opportunity to solve the most complex technical challenges within the rapidly growing counter-drone sector.
Our customers operate in demanding and mission-critical environments, including military organizations, government agencies, airports, critical infrastructure operators, and police services. Protecting airspace in these environments requires technology that performs under pressure and teams that understand what is at stake. At DroneShield, you will work at the forefront of counter-drone innovation and help tackle real security challenges, as drone threats continue to evolve globally.
As one of Australia's largest listed defense companies and a member of the ASX200 index, DroneShield is in a period of exceptional growth. Revenue increased from A$57 million in 2024 to A$217 million in 2025, a growth of more than 400% year-on-year, with record levels of profitability and cash flow. The global addressable market for counter-drone technology is estimated at approximately US$100 billion and is still in a relatively early stage of development. DroneShield is excellently positioned as a global market leader and is the only listed pure-play company in this sector.
The company has grown from 11 employees in 2017 to more than 550 employees worldwide. This growth includes annual investments of more than A$50 million in R&D, a global pipeline of more than A$2.5 billion, and continuous expansion of production capacity to meet growing demand.
DroneShield's European operations are based in Amsterdam, which serves as a strategic hub for customers in the EU and the wider region. The Amsterdam office plays a key role in strengthening regional partnerships, supporting customer relationships, and expanding DroneShield's presence within the European defense, security, and infrastructure markets. As demand for counter-drone technology continues to grow in Europe, the team supports local customers while simultaneously contributing to the company's broader global strategy.
Due to strong global growth, DroneShield is looking for a Field Service Engineer (FSE) to strengthen the European Operations Team.
In this role, you will primarily report to the EU Operations Manager and work closely with the European Sales Team, the Operations Team, and the Engineering Teams. This role is a good fit for someone with an eye for detail, a passion for technology, and the ambition to further develop within a fast-growing, listed defense technology company.
The position focuses entirely on customer-oriented technical support in the field. You will be responsible for the successful implementation, integration, and support of DroneShield systems for customers throughout Europe.
