Field Service Engineer (m/w/d)

• MBO level 3 or 4 in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar.

• Experience in a service-oriented field role is a plus.

• Good command of both the Dutch and English language.

• In possession of VCA-VOL, NEN3140 (Vakbekwaam Persoon), ATEX 001/003.

• Driving license B and willingness to travel within the Netherlands.

• Independent, customer-oriented and communicative.

• (Residing within a max. of ±30 minutes travel distance from Hoogvliet.)

• Knowledge of valves, actuators and digital control technology is a plus.

• Long-term employment, starting with a one-year contract directly with Rotork B.V.

• Full-time position of 38 hours per week

As a Field Service Engineer, you are the face of Rotork to the customer. You are responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, repair and commissioning of actuators and associated systems on location. You report to the Service Supervisor. You work independently or in a team at various customer locations, from water treatment plants to refineries.

• For troubleshooting, repairing, testing and commissioning actuators in the field.

• Modifying/upgrading actuators in the field.

• Performing inspections and status checks of Rotork actuators.

• Performing mechanical and sometimes electrical installation of actuators and associated retrofit adaptation parts, mounting flanges and drive shafts in the workshop.

• Daily reports of site visits for every assignment.

• Performing risk assessments and drafting work instructions.

• Occasionally performing detailed valve investigations where mechanical data/dimensions are collected.

• Providing accurate reporting and expense claims.

• Providing basic training to customers if necessary.

• Identifying commercial opportunities at customers.
