Safety Engineering Internship

Do you want to apply your knowledge of safety in practice and contribute to a safe working environment? During your internship at Refresco in Sittard, you will get the chance to work on various safety issues within a dynamic production environment. You will learn how safety policy is applied in practice and will be given the space to actively think along about improvements.

Safety is central at Refresco. Together with colleagues, you will work on creating and maintaining a safe working environment for everyone. As a Safety Science/ Integral Safety intern, you will support the SHE team (Safety, Health & Environment) with daily activities, improvement initiatives, and projects.

Your duties include

• Workplace inspections: supporting inspections on the shop floor, identifying risks, and thinking along about appropriate improvement measures.

• Safety reports: helping with the follow-up of reports and monitoring the progress of action items.

• SHE documentation: updating and managing safety documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

• Improvement actions: supporting initiatives to further improve safety and safety awareness within the organization.

• Projects: contributing to various SHE projects and studies that align with your education and interests.

Depending on your learning objectives and ongoing projects, there is room to carry out your own internship assignment or research. This allows you to apply your knowledge directly in practice and gain valuable experience.

You are curious, take initiative, and have an eye for safety. You find it interesting to discover how processes on the shop floor run and how these can be organized more safely.

Additionally:

• You are following an mbo or hbo education in the direction of Safety Science, Integral Safety, or a similar study.

• You have an interest in occupational safety, risk management, and improving work processes.

• You work accurately and approach your tasks independently and proactively.

• You communicate easily with different colleagues and dare to ask questions.

• You are eager to learn and enjoy working both on the shop floor and with documentation and projects.

At Refresco, you get the chance to develop yourself in a professional production environment where safety and continuous improvement are important. You will work together with experienced colleagues who are happy to share their knowledge with you and guide you during your internship. You can count on:
