What we're looking for
Education: You have at least a completed MBO (vocational) education. Preferably in the direction of Inland Shipping or Electrical Engineering;
Experience: You have 2 years of experience in a role that fits this job. Think of experience as a Captain, mate, work preparer, planner, etc.
You have knowledge of inland shipping and possess general technical knowledge.
You have a Driver's License B
Languages
You speak fluent Dutch and English. German is a plus;

The role
Will you join our team as a support engineer? And do you want to contribute directly to smarter inland shipping? In this position, you have a crucial role in our installation and support team. Together with your colleagues, you are co-responsible for the complete installation process of our hardware and connecting the hardware with our software.
You are our connecting factor between our customers, installers, and the team at the office. Your role contributes directly to innovative and complex projects to make inland shipping safer, more sustainable, and more efficient.
What you'll do
You are the first point of contact for customers regarding technical questions, malfunctions, and installations. You provide support where necessary in answering questions and resolving malfunctions.
You maintain the inventory, place orders, and ensure that the installers always have the correct materials.
You assist with the preparation of installation drawings.
You communicate with the installers regarding planning, ongoing installations, and stock.
You troubleshoot (simple) malfunctions and resolve the issue.
Various administrative tasks.

You are naturally very curious and love learning new things. You communicate easily with colleagues, customers, and installers, both by telephone, email, and face-to-face. You love solving problems and maintain a flexible attitude in doing so. You always have everything in order: you love it when everything is well-organized and clear. And if something is not going well, you look for ways to make your work easier/better. Recording agreements, working methods, and other administrative tasks is no problem for you. And of course, you are a pleasant, cheerful colleague who likes to work towards the same goal as all other ST colleagues. Namely: Every Ship a Smart Ship!
