As an HSE Officer, you are the primary point of contact for safety, health, and environment at our production site in Deventer. You are present on the shop floor daily and work closely with operators, supervisors, and management to continuously improve safety.

You stimulate a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with laws and regulations, and translate HSE policy into practical and visible behavior on site. In this role, you combine substantive HSE expertise with coaching, leadership, and continuous improvement. You do not just monitor processes and systems, but primarily make an impact by engaging people in safe working practices.

We are looking for an HSE professional who demonstrates ownership and truly lives safety on the shop floor. Someone who is visible, engages in conversation, and knows how to involve employees in behavioral change.

Key qualities and experience

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking, with a background in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or similar

• Minimum MVK; HVK and/or NEBOSH (IGC or equivalent) is a plus or you are willing to obtain this

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in an HSE role, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment

• Strong in communication and influencing, from the shop floor to management

• Hands-on, pragmatic, proactive, and independent

• Fluent in Dutch and English
