As a Technical Project Manager, you are responsible for initiating, coordinating, and realizing technical projects within our production site. You fulfill a key role within the organization and are the connecting factor between engineering, production, maintenance, and HSE. Thanks to your technical expertise and project-based approach, you ensure that improvements are successfully implemented and that investment projects are realized safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.

In this role, you lead an engineering team of two employees, supporting them in their development and ensuring an optimal use of knowledge and capacity. You are responsible for drafting and justifying CAPEX investments and translating technical challenges into well-founded project proposals. Additionally, you analyze existing processes and initiate improvements that contribute to higher reliability, efficiency, and sustainability of the production environment.

You work closely with colleagues from Maintenance, Production, and HSE to realize technical improvements and achieve operational objectives. You also play an active role in monitoring energy consumption and developing projects that contribute to sustainability and a more efficient use of resources. External suppliers, contractors, and consultancy firms are guided and managed by you, so that projects are executed successfully and meet the established quality and safety standards.

Additionally, you support and guide audits and inspections, including Seveso audits and inspections by environmental and occupational health and safety services. You ensure that findings are adequately followed up and translate them, where necessary, into concrete improvement actions within the organization.

What makes this function extra challenging and interesting is that you work within a production environment where chemical substances are processed. As a result, you are part of a Seveso company, in which safety, compliance, and risk management play a central role. At the same time, you receive a lot of responsibility for managing technical projects from A to Z, including the associated investments and budgets. In this position, you report directly to the Plant Manager and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the technical and operational performance of the organization.

We are looking for a technically strong and committed leader who likes to roll up their sleeves and gets energy from the combination of strategy, technology, and execution. You are visible on the shop floor, easily approachable, and know how to coach, motivate, and further develop your team in a natural way. At the same time, you switch effortlessly between daily practice and the long-term ambitions of the organization.

You feel at home in a production environment and have a sharp eye for technical improvements and project opportunities. Thanks to your experience in project management, you know how to successfully realize complex trajectories and involve stakeholders at all levels in changes. You communicate clearly, take responsibility, and enjoy collaborating, but are also excellently capable of making decisions independently and driving projects forward.

In addition, you possess:

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking;
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading and realizing technical projects;
• Experience within an industrial (process technology is a plus) production environment;
• Experience in leading CAPEX projects;
• Experience with MOC procedures is a plus.
• A good command of both the Dutch and English languages, in speech and writing.
