A starting salary of € 2,937 gross per month based on 38 hours (from age 21) and you can grow during your career to a salary of max. € 3,279 gross per month based on scale E from the MVT collective labor agreement.

Even as an experienced bicycle mechanic, you can continue to develop yourself at NS! You will learn from your colleagues and can make use of our enormous database of (online) courses. And because we continue to renew our OV-fietsen, you can go in all directions as a bicycle mechanic.

What do you do as a bicycle mechanic? You repair bicycles - naturally - but your job is very varied. On one bicycle, you tighten a pedal and you are finished in five minutes. On another bicycle, you take it apart to, for example, replace the bottom bracket. You work on all kinds of bicycles: from old commuter bikes and large step-through bikes to our own OV-fiets.

In addition, you have a lot of contact with customers, because you work in the middle of the bicycle parking facility. You also assist with checking bicycles in and out of the facility and ensure in between that the parking area and workshop remain clean, tidy, and safe.

Your schedule is flexible and you will agree on it together with the Location Manager. You are available for shifts between 07:00 and 19:00 hours, both during the week and on weekends. You will primarily be deployed during day shifts.

Occasionally it may be necessary to open the parking facility earlier. Therefore, we appreciate it if you are also flexible in this regard when the planning requires it. The opening hours are then 05:10 hours during the week, 05:45 hours on Saturday and 06:45 hours on Sunday.

A shift lasts a maximum of 8 hours.

• You can reach the location within 30 minutes without public transport, because this does not always run in the early morning or late evening. We do not reimburse parking costs and do not have fixed parking spaces (unless otherwise indicated).
