Category Manager

As a Category Manager, you make a significant contribution to our business strategy. By working closely with our Key Account Managers, you gain insight into our customers' drivers. You then translate this into a Category Strategy and Sourcing Plans. You prioritize, create concrete action plans, and manage strategic procurement projects worldwide. In this, you work closely with our most important suppliers and tactical buyers at our locations. MAG45 seeks the best solution for the customer; we are brand-independent in this and, in partnership with our suppliers, we actively seek collaboration. You take on a leadership role in this, ensuring the setup and realization of strategic, tactical, and operational goals and monitoring them where necessary. In doing so, you work together with the Sourcing Manager and report to the Director Procurement.

• Initiating and executing strategic product-related procurement projects;

• Developing and maintaining a global Category Strategy;

• Improving, monitoring, and managing the supply base of the assigned product category regarding cost, quality, logistics, and technology;

• Managing and optimizing long-term relationships with key suppliers;

• Ensuring the buildup of knowledge regarding the category and the supplier base;

• Staying up-to-date on market developments and spotting opportunities, and identifying and responding to risks.

The Category Manager role includes the following employment benefits:

• Depending on your knowledge and experience, you will receive an attractive monthly salary in the range of € 6,437 to € 8,740;
