Step aboard your next job: Project Management Officer at Air France KLM Cargo! Bring structure to the design and realization of the New Cargo Terminal and support the project team during the move to this new air cargo terminal. In this way, you contribute to a smooth organization and unforgettable flights.

What will you do?

As the right hand of the program director, you maintain an overview of the planning, risks, project baseline, decisions, and documents. The project is at the beginning of the design phase. The current focus lies on the RFP process for the selection of a system integrator for the automated systems. You ensure that information is correct, actions are followed up, and the team always works from the same current starting points.

Furthermore:

  • you prepare the integral project planning for the next phase, proactively adjust it, and signal critical paths, dependencies, and deviations;
  • you record the approved scope, the budget, and the timelines, monitor this project baseline, and document changes for a transparent audit trail of the decision-making;
  • you take care of preparing management and progress reports;
  • you prepare meetings and take minutes;
  • you organize and facilitate RfP processes, workshops, and site visits within the LHS, Building & Site, and IT tracks;
  • you set up SharePoint as a central source for all project documents, keep this environment organized and up to date, and act as the central point of contact for the team;
  • you manage the integral risk log, monitor the actions of risk owners, and address them when follow-up is required;

Where will you land?

You work at Schiphol Centrum, directly next to the platform and above the operational air cargo handling. Here, you will join the close-knit New Cargo Terminal project team of approximately 35 professionals. The team falls under Business & Process Improvement of KLM Cargo and works on the design, realization, and move to a new air cargo terminal. Working from various disciplines, you collaborate on a complex project that shapes the air cargo handling of the future.

Your profile

You quickly bring structure to complex information and immediately notice if a planning, overview, or document is incorrect. You do not wait around, but pick up tasks, take initiative, and address colleagues in a pleasant manner regarding outstanding actions. When the situation changes, you look for a workable solution with a practical mindset. You keep an eye on the people around you, stimulate cooperation, and bring energy and humor to the group even during busy moments. In this way, you are a reliable support for the program director and the entire project team.

Furthermore:

  • you possess an HBO-level professional and thinking capacity;
  • you have demonstrable experience with project support, project control, or activities within a project management office;
  • you have experience with risk management, integral project planning, critical paths, and monitoring scope, budget, and timelines;
  • you can carefully record project changes and decisions to maintain a transparent audit trail;
  • you are proficient in working with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint and enjoy creating clear, visually appealing presentations;
  • you have an affinity with logistical processes and complex, long-term projects;
  • depending on your experience and what you feel comfortable with, you also actively contribute ideas regarding the content of the project and contribute to substantive project documents and decision-making;
  • you have an excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.

Your profile is completed with the following competencies: Attention to Quality, Initiative, Planning & Organizing, Overseeing Business Processes, and Collaboration.

What do we offer?

  • A challenging role at a unique Dutch company;
  • A gross salary between € 3,796.93 and € 5,424.18 gross per month;
