KLM wants to become the most data-driven airline in Europe, and Operations Decision Support (ODS) plays a key role in this. As a Consultant Operations Analytics, you will play an important role in strengthening data-driven decision-making within KLM operations. You will analyze complex datasets and translate insights into concrete findings that improve the performance of the KLM operation.

With your analyses and advice, you will solve operational problems, even before they arise. You will land in an innovative environment where entrepreneurship and autonomy are valued.

Are you the analytical expert who can translate complex data so that KLM's processes become smarter, faster, and more successful? Then this is your cockpit.

Where will you land?

You will become part of the Operations Analytics team within Operations Decision Support (ODS), one of the most innovative departments within KLM. Here, experts in the fields of data, operations, and strategy work together to improve KLM's operation.

Operations Analytics consists of central and decentralized sub-teams. As a decentralized consultant, you will build expertise in a specific domain by working for an extended period within one operational division, such as Fleet Services. As a central consultant, you will safeguard integrity through varying cross-divisional projects. We are looking for colleagues for both sub-teams and will discuss the best place for you during the application process.

Your workplace will depend on the choice between central and decentralized. In any case, we meet with the entire team every Thursday at ODS at Schiphol Oost. You will report to the Lead Operations Analytics and work together with teams throughout the entire operation.

You get the chance to solve complex issues and contribute directly to the strategic performance of KLM's operation.

Your profile

You are an analytical thinker who gets energy from complex issues. You bring structure to a dynamic environment, know how to bring people along with action-oriented insights, and understand how data, operations, and strategy converge.

You recognize yourself in the following:

  • You have a university master's degree in a quantitative field and at least 1 year of relevant work experience
  • You have experience with large-scale data analysis and programming, preferably in Python, SQL, and BigQuery
  • You have previously worked on statistical modeling and scenario analysis
  • You communicate clearly and persuasively using effective storytelling and slide writing
  • You are skilled at gaining management buy-in
  • You speak and write Dutch and English well

Do you not recognize yourself in every point of the profile, but do you think that you can make a valuable contribution with your experience and qualities? Then we cordially invite you to apply.
