As an experienced Consultant Operations Analytics, you will play an important role in strengthening data-driven decision-making within KLM operations. You will analyze complex datasets and translate insights into concrete advice that improves the performance of the KLM operation.

With your analyses and advice, you solve operational problems, even before they arise. You ask sharp questions and dare to challenge existing ways of working. As an experienced Consultant Operations Analytics, you look for solutions that move the organization forward with an integral and analytical perspective. You do this objectively, but with the interests of the various stakeholders from across the entire company in mind.

You:

• Perform in-depth analyses with complex datasets to identify patterns, correlations, and root causes of operational performance
• Act as a data conscience for senior management (within divisions)
• Develop complex reports, dashboards, and analyses that help divisions steer better on performance
• You connect analytics with strategy: you translate complex data into insights and scenarios that help determine what we as an organization are steering towards and which choices we make.
• Independently lead analytics projects within the team and take the lead on analytical issues in multidisciplinary working groups
• Translate strategic operational targets into divisional and operational objectives together with stakeholders
• Ensure that we can better predict operational performance so that we can act proactively

In short: you help the KLM operation make better decisions by translating complex data into clear insights and predictions.

You will become part of Operations Decision Support (ODS), one of the most innovative departments within KLM. Here, experts in the fields of data, operations, and strategy work together to improve the daily operation for 17,000+ colleagues who keep KLM running: from network planning and crew scheduling to fuelling, maintenance, and ground operations.

You will work alternatively at Schiphol Oost, at home, or at another location of your choice. You report to the Lead Operations Analytics and work together with teams throughout the entire operation.

You will get the chance to solve complex issues and contribute directly to the strategic performance of KLM's operation.

You are analytically strong, curious, and can easily switch between detailed analysis and strategic context.

You recognize yourself in the following:

• You have a WO master's degree in a quantitative direction and at least 3 years of relevant work experience
• You have extensive experience with large-scale data analysis and programming, preferably in Python, SQL, and BigQuery
• You have previously worked on statistical modeling and scenario analysis
• You communicate clearly and persuasively using effective storytelling and slide writing
• You are skilled at engaging senior management
• You speak and write Dutch and English well
