The Role
During your internship, you will be part of our Business Systems department. You will contribute to the management and further development of our business systems: clusters of one or more applications that play an essential role within our business processes.

As a department, we are responsible for monitoring applications, resolving incidents, and ensuring the continuity and availability of our systems. We also analyze user requirements and business processes to implement improvements. This includes configuring functionalities, guiding updates, and implementing new features within existing systems.

Software development is also part of Business Systems. This gives you insight into the full lifecycle of applications: from implementation and management to modernization and decommissioning. In addition, we pay attention to topics such as performance, security, integrations, and the future-proofing of our systems.

During the first phase of your internship, you will get to know our organization, processes, and systems. You will meet colleagues from various teams and discover how applications and integrations support our business. This will give you a good picture of how we ensure reliable, secure, and future-proof systems.

Plan of Approach

In this first phase, you will develop a plan of approach together with your supervisor. In this, you will work out your internship assignment, learning objectives, and approach. Your assignment falls within one or more of the following themes:

• Optimization of processes and systems
• Automation of recurring tasks
• Data analysis and reporting regarding usage and performance

Think, for example, of improving support and management processes, automating manual tasks, optimizing development processes, or developing dashboards and insights based on incident data or application usage.

You will be given the space to take initiative, come up with ideas, and actually make an impact on the way we manage and improve our business systems. In this way, you will develop not only technical knowledge but also important skills in the areas of communication, analysis, and collaboration within a professional project organization.
