Requirements

What we're looking for

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Nice to have

  • A driver's license is a plus.

The role

At the crisis service, you will have a dynamic and varied job where no two days are the same. You assess acute psychiatric crisis situations and work outreach at various locations. Schiphol is also part of our working area. Here, you offer your help to people from all over the world who experience a psychiatric crisis at the airport.

What you'll do

You always assess acute psychiatric crisis situations together with a colleague, such as a doctor or Nurse Practitioner. You will deal with complex cases, diverse clinical pictures, and various requests for help.

As a nurse, you have an important and independent role within the crisis assessments. Your nursing expertise and vision are emphatically valued.

Your duties take place at our own location and at external locations, such as at people's homes, at Schiphol, with the Royal Marechaussee, at the police station, and at the Emergency Department.

Additionally, you offer short-term follow-up contacts aimed at stabilizing the crisis. In doing so, you implement nursing interventions and guide clients during a vulnerable period.

You can also be deployed as a triage nurse at our contact center. You will then be the first point of contact for referrers, patients, and chain partners. You assess and prioritize requests for help, coordinate the work of colleagues, and monitor the scheduling of crisis assessments.

You work closely in a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, (general) practitioners, doctors in training to become specialists, nurses, and SPVs.

You work in day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Why you want to work here

You have a versatile position with a lot of responsibility and an important role within the crisis chain. At the same time, you are never alone. You will join a close-knit and experienced team in which colleagues know, support, and can rely on each other.

In addition to hard work, there is plenty of room for humor, conviviality, and fun activities together. A pleasant working atmosphere and committed colleagues are at least as important to us!

What you bring and what you get from us?

  • Classification in FWG 50/55 (CAO GGZ). Depending on education combined with experience.

  • Possibility of a direct permanent contract.

  • Plenty of room to further develop yourself within crisis care, for example via the training to become an SPV.

  • Support for your professional and personal development, such as deepening your expertise and learning new skills.

  • View all terms of employment here.

With #Geestverwanten, we show who we really are: people who take care seriously, but fortunately, not always themselves. Especially now that healthcare is demanding a lot, we are looking for colleagues who understand that laughing is at least as important as listening.

Are you doubting if this suits you?

You don't have to be sure right away! You are very welcome for an introductory interview or to shadow us for a day. This way, you can experience for yourself how versatile and varied the work at our crisis service is.
