Requirements

What we're looking for

  • You have knowledge at MBO-3/4 level and relevant experience in healthcare or with a similar target group.

The role

As a group leader at GGZ inGeest, you provide clients with structure and care. You guide patients on the HC in a group setting. Cooking, exercising, walking, and undertaking other activities are your ways of contributing to our patient care. Providing care to our patients is something you do not do alone, but with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, nurses, and caregivers. Within that team, your work and observations make the difference. This takes place at our clinics during rotating shifts.

Even without mental health experience - you are welcome here.

What you'll do

  • As a group leader, you, together with the team, ensure a good atmosphere on the ward. You seek out 'everyday' contact with the client where the person, instead of the illness, takes center stage.

  • You train the client to function as independently as possible and you support the recovery process in various areas of life. You coordinate the care in consultation with the client.

  • You are able to plan and organize within your work. Making orders, cooking and planning the weekly menu, supporting the ward, and coordinating care questions with various colleagues are examples of this.

  • You participate in the shift handover and contribute to the guidance of programs and/or group activities within the framework of daily activities and report on this.

  • You are willing to work rotating shifts during the day / evening and the weekend.

Where will you work?

  • The High Care clinic, located in De Nieuwe Valerius Amsterdam, is an acute closed admission ward with 21 admission places.

  • It is a closed admission ward where people in psychiatric crisis are admitted.

  • On the High Care ward, guidance in recovery is central. We want to support our clients in picking up 'normal life' again; so that the step from the clinic to home is less daunting. Therefore, as many activities from the home situation as possible are copied, and regular home visits take place.

  • The team has a beautiful balance in roles, gender, and age. We are bursting with energy and there is plenty of room to develop yourself, and you can deepen your knowledge of many different pathologies. Think of this in terms of in- & continuing education.

  • The client population (18yrs – 65yrs) is very diverse, as are their psychiatric pathologies; from depression to addiction, from mania to psychosis, and from schizophrenia to borderline.

  • It is a multidisciplinary team with diverse educational backgrounds that runs 24-hour shifts.

Also important

  • You will work at the High Care clinic in Amsterdam at De Nieuwe Valerius Clinic.

  • The position is scaled in FWG40.
    We offer:

  • A fixed year-end bonus of 8.33%;

  • Excellent travel allowance (100% on public transport);
