Senior Technologist (all genders) in the Netherlands

• A completed HBO or WO degree in Food Technology, Chemical Technology, or similar, with extensive experience in a production environment;
• Experience in analyzing and solving complex process and product technology issues and realizing sustainable improvements;
• Strong skills in translating strategic objectives into technological roadmaps, improvement projects, and business cases;
• Knowledge of and experience with continuous improvement, for example via Lean, Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, and data-driven decision-making;
• A sparring partner and connector who collaborates effectively with Operations, QA, Technical Services, and other stakeholders.

In the role of Senior Technologist, you play a key role in realizing the technological performance of our Marum location. Together with the Technologist, you provide direction to the site's technology agenda and work towards an optimal balance between daily operations and long-term improvements. From tackling technological issues to investment projects: you ensure that technology contributes to maximum performance. You are part of the multisite Technology & Operational Excellence (OPEX) team for the Balkbrug, Marum, and Steenderen locations. Within this team, you contribute to the future strategy and work together with colleagues on sustainable progress. In this role, you report to the Multisite Manager Technology & OPEX. Together with your manager and the Technologist, you translate input from the organization into clear technological annual plans with distinct priorities. Thanks to your expertise and drive, you know how to not only develop these plans but also bring them to life concretely within the entire organization in Marum.

• You are the technological point of contact within the operational structure and actively provide substantive contributions during on-site performance meetings in both our RUN and IMPROVE structures;
• You translate strategic goals and operational challenges into a concrete multi-year plan for technology and process development;
• You take ownership of in-depth process and product technology challenges and develop sustainable solutions that structurally improve performance;
• You monitor, interpret, and steer based on process and product performance, and actively contribute to the technological foundation of the plant;
• You develop business cases, define technical concepts, guide implementation, and secure project results within the line organization;
• You develop and implement technological standards, working methods, and best practices within Marum and multisite (OWOW, Lean, Six Sigma);
• You use process data, performance indicators, and trend analyses to identify improvement opportunities and determine priorities;
• You act as a substantive senior expert, sparring partner, and mentor within the Technology & OPEX team;
• Together with Operations, QA, TD, and OPEX, you ensure supported, broadly implemented technological improvements.
