This position as Senior Operations Technician is located within Rayon Kleine Velden Noord West, based in Anjum.

The rayon is divided into two production systems: Grijpskerk and Anjum. Together these systems include:

• 7 gas treatment locations with compression installations;

• 17 satellite locations;

• 59 gas wells.

You will join an experienced Operations team in which openness, honesty, respect, and collaboration are central. Operating safely according to applicable laws and regulations always has the highest priority for us, and that is what we expect from you as well.

As Senior Operations Technician (SOT), you will fulfill a crucial role within Production Unit Noord West. The primary goal of the position is to ensure both personal safety and process safety at all NAM locations.

This position brings a high degree of responsibility, but simultaneously offers a lot of autonomy and freedom within established working methods, procedures, and legal frameworks. You are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various installations to realize stable and reliable gas production.

Additionally, you will receive ample opportunities to further develop yourself into an all-round professional. Various trainings are available for this purpose. We expect a proactive attitude, a strong sense of responsibility, and a practical "can-do" mentality.

As Senior Operations Technician, you are responsible for:

• Operating and acting with integrity according to applicable laws and regulations and the NAM/Shell procedures and work instructions.
• Ensuring safe and reliable operation of processes and equipment to achieve safety, environmental, production, and cost objectives.
• Starting, stopping, and operating wells, installations, and production facilities.
• Preparing and executing operational activities for the purpose of maintenance, inspection, and intervention activities.
• Proactively identifying opportunities, risks, and potential threats to ensure the correct operation of installations and equipment.
• Designing and executing safeguards.
• Issuing work permits.
• Conducting start-of-work briefings and toolbox meetings.
• Guiding contractors and maintenance activities and supervising work to guarantee a safe workplace.
• Following up on process and equipment failures through reports and registrations in the designated systems.
• Supporting maintenance technicians and suppliers during preventive and corrective maintenance work.
• Working closely with maintenance technicians, suppliers, and colleagues to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Working during major maintenance shutdowns under the guidance of the Operations & Maintenance Supervisor, during which you can also operate independently when necessary.

We are looking for candidates who possess a sense of responsibility, team spirit, and a solution-oriented attitude.

Additionally, you preferably possess:

• A Process Operator C diploma or a comparable education, such as VAPRO C.
• Experience within the oil and gas production industry is a plus.
• Demonstrable experience with operational risk analyses and risk management during the preparation and execution of work.
• Good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.
• Sufficient command of the English language, both spoken and written.
• Experience working according to procedures, work permit systems, and safety standards.
