Our ideal candidate
You have at least a higher professional education (HBO) in the direction of Chemistry, Materials Science, Process Technology, or similar, or you have a vocational education (MBO) supplemented with relevant work experience in a laboratory environment. In this position, it is important that you have experience in leadership where you know how to play a connecting and motivating role.

As Teamlead Lab, it is important that you (preferably) have knowledge of cement technological developments and know what the norms and standards for cement, mortar, and concrete are. It would be a great advantage if you possess Basic Knowledge of Concrete Technology or are willing to obtain this diploma. You possess strong analytical abilities, have a strong focus on quality, and a proactive and result-oriented work attitude. In this position, it is important that you possess good communication skills in both Dutch and English.

What will your duties look like?
As Teamlead Lab, you are responsible for the daily management of the lab in Wanssum and you lead a team of laboratory technicians. You combine operational leadership with quality, research, and innovation.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

Leadership and organization
• Managing, coaching, and developing your team;
• Conducting performance and development reviews.
• Monitoring safety, health, and order within the laboratory.
• Optimizing work processes and efficiency.
• Initiating and supervising laboratory projects, such as the implementation of new equipment and testing methodologies.

Quality and process control
• Responsible for the daily quality control of raw materials and finished products.
• Coordinating calibrations and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Monitoring standards, procedures, test methods, and certifications.
• Identifying quality deviations and initiating improvement measures.
• Supporting internal and external audits.
• Handling and analyzing product-technical issues and complaints.
• Drafting and presenting quality reports.

Research & Development
• Actively participating in R&D projects in the field of innovative and sustainable binders.
• Developing, testing, and implementing new products and applications.
• Researching new raw materials and circular materials.
• Translating laboratory results into practical applications in production and the market.
• Collaborating with internal and external partners in the field of innovation.
