But perhaps even more importantly: you are helping to build something unique. Every yacht is custom-made, and your work literally becomes a part of it. That provides not only responsibility, but above all, something you can be proud of when the project is delivered.
At De Vries Scheepsbouw Makkum, the jewel of the Frisian economy, we build exceptional Feadships: world-class yachts, fully customized to the client's wishes and finished to perfection. From our modern shipyard on the IJsselmeer, we proudly work on projects up to 120 meters. Every detail counts, and everyone's craftsmanship contributes to the final result. Together, we realize yachts that garner admiration worldwide. That is your contribution to the construction of a Feadship.
As a Plumber, you will contribute to the construction of high-end yachts where technology, luxury, and customization converge. You will work on complete sanitary installations on board and ensure that systems not only function technically perfectly, but also meet the high quality standards applicable within yacht building.
You will work together with colleagues within various disciplines, such as pipefitters, structural metalworkers, and mechanics, as you collectively build unique projects.
You will be involved in the installation, assembly, and finishing of diverse piping systems and sanitary installations on board. This includes:
You will work on technically challenging installations within an environment where quality is more important than speed. This means plenty of variety, specialist work, and the opportunity to deliver true craftsmanship.
Furthermore, you will literally see how your work becomes part of a complete end product: luxury yachts where technology and finishing meet at a high level.
You will join an informal organization where you work together with professionals who, just like you, are proud of what they make. You will work full-time (40 hours per week) on one of the most beautiful end products there are: world-class superyachts. And of course, that comes with its rewards.
