What we're looking for

Completed MBO or HBO education in the field of Mechanical Engineering;
Any additional education or training in the field of mechanical installations is a plus;
At least 5 years of demonstrable work experience in a similar position;
Recent and relevant experience with budgeting maintenance and replacement of mechanical installations;
Experience with drafting multi-year maintenance plans (MJOP);
Strong communication skills and experience in advising internal and external stakeholders;
In possession of a VCA-VOL certificate or willing to obtain this;
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;
Willingness to travel regularly within the Netherlands;
Analytically strong and able to independently understand technical issues;
Experience with drafting memos and technical documentation in understandable language.

What you'll do

For a large organization with an extensive real estate and building portfolio, we are looking for a Mechanical Installations Advisor. In this role, you are responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical installations within various real estate locations in the Randstad North and Northeast Netherlands regions. You ensure that installations function safely, reliably, and in accordance with applicable requirements. Additionally, you advise internal stakeholders on technical management, maintenance, and the future manageability of real estate objects. You combine technical expertise with coordinating skills and actively contribute to a safe and well-maintained working environment.

Budgeting annual maintenance and replacement of mechanical installations and processing these into maintenance plans;
Requesting, evaluating, and checking quotations;
Processing data in building management systems;
Planning, purchasing, and realizing maintenance activities for buildings and objects;
Translating maintenance needs into a multi-year maintenance plan (MJOP);
Inspecting mechanical installations within the real estate portfolio;
Supervising preventive maintenance, performed activities, and required inspections;
Coordinating the activities of maintenance partners and suppliers;
Periodically testing and assessing the technical state of installations;
Guiding specialist inspections and major maintenance activities;
Advising colleagues and clients on technical management, maintenance, and future manageability;
Supporting fault-reporting organizations and advising on new construction, renovation, and remodeling projects;
Drafting technical memos and clear advice for various stakeholders.
