HR Absence Specialist in the Netherlands

In cases of long-term or complex absence, it is important that the right steps are taken and reintegration processes do not stall. As an HR Absence Specialist at Emil Frey Nederland, you help HR colleagues and managers to handle absence issues carefully and effectively. In doing so, you keep an eye on both the employee and the interests of the organization.

From the head office in Veenendaal, you support various BVs. You work closely with our Sustainable Employability Advisor and, for our smaller BVs, you take direct control of absence files yourself. This allows you to combine independent case management with an advisory role and make an important contribution to our approach to absence.

• advising HR colleagues and managers regarding long-term and complex absence;
• independently guiding absence and reintegration processes for our smaller BVs;
• advising on the Sickness Benefits Act (Ziektewet), WIA, and WGA, and contributing to the guidance and management of files regarding employer-held risk (eigenrisicodragerschap);
• monitoring actions, deadlines, and obligations arising from the Gatekeeper Improvement Act (Wet verbetering poortwachter);
• liaising with employees, occupational physicians, vocational experts, insurers, and other stakeholders;
• ensuring careful file construction and identifying opportunities to improve our absence processes.

You are an absence professional who is firmly grounded in the subject matter and enjoys taking responsibility. You know how to move complex files forward and dare to provide direction in doing so.

You switch easily between different interests, ask critical questions, and communicate your advice clearly. In doing so, you do not lose sight of the human side. You know when to push forward, but also when a situation requires extra attention or coordination.

With your analytical eye, you recognize risks and possibilities, and translate laws and regulations into practical solutions.
