The role

Deploying every euro as effectively as possible. As a cost expert, you are the right person for the job at Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Den Bosch. For complex residential and non-residential construction projects, you determine the direct costs from a pricing perspective and, with your advice, steer our projects in the right direction. A challenge, because construction tasks are becoming increasingly complex. You are up for it with your analytical insights for the Noord-Brabant and Limburg regions.

What you'll do

As a cost expert at Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Den Bosch, you will receive a lot of responsibility and freedom within the projects. This is because you are responsible for the direct costs of a number of projects, from the initiative phase to the contracting agreement.

You discuss these projects with your team. This can include, among others, the project manager, design leader, business office (for the ABKs), developer, and also the project leader. During the tender phases, you jointly draw up risk analyses, you create indicative budget estimates for real estate developments and final (tender) budgets, and you consider whether certain solutions could be smarter, better, and more efficient for the client.

Naturally, you examine whether what has been signed or conceived can actually be built. Which costs exactly come into play there? You can tell them everything about that. No matter how complex the residential or non-residential construction project is, you always see a challenge in it. You take responsibility for determining the construction budget in a timely manner.

You are regularly in the office with the client and you visit the construction site now and then. Together with your estimation team, you want to build more sustainably, digitally, and innovatively. In addition to the team in which you work on projects together, you are also part of the estimation department. This group consists of a close-knit team of men and women who work together on the development and improvement of the estimation department, but of course also on your personal development.

Requirements

This is what you bring

  • An mbo or hbo diploma in civil engineering or a comparable education (e.g., technical business administration, Built Environment, etc.);

  • A number of years of experience in a similar role;

  • Experience with pricing within (stacked) residential or non-residential construction projects;

  • A professional, analytical, and customer-oriented attitude.

  • A well-structured and organized way of working.

These requirements show the direction of the profile we are looking for in this position. Should you not recognize yourself in all the requirements, but you do think this is the position for you? Then we would love to have a conversation with you.

This is what we offer you

  • The salary for this position is between €5639.81 and €7049.76 gross per month (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience.

  • On top of the salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to CAO Bouw & Infra).

  • 43 leave days according to the Cao Bouw & Infra. Of these days, 13 are paid out in your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

  • A laptop and a smartphone;

  • Excellent secondary employment conditions such as standard insurance for all employee risks, pension schemes, an extra supplement in case of disability, and a contribution towards trade union membership;

  • You have the choice between a mobility budget, NS Business Card, or an electric lease car;

  • With a permanent contract, you can choose a brand-new (electric) bicycle thanks to our partnership with lease-a-bike;

  • Much attention to your growth thanks to our own Dura Vermeer Academy with plenty of education and training opportunities within your field, but also, for example, in the area of vitality;

  • Company fitness scheme with a choice from a sports offering of over 3,500 sports locations throughout the Netherlands;

  • A good work-life balance thanks to a flexible working policy and smooth arrangements for working hours, working times, emergencies, caregiving, or sabbatical;

  • A fixed amount Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated;

  • For new fathers and partners: 100% continued payment of your salary during the 5 weeks of supplementary birth leave, instead of the standard 70%.
