The role
Within our Modality team (7 colleagues), everything revolves around ensuring the smooth running of our intermodal transports via Ferry & Rail. As a Junior Transport Planner, you plan tank containers based on available capacity, collect information from our intermodal suppliers, and keep the operational status up-to-date. If something goes differently than planned—a strike or track and terminal works—you switch gears quickly and arrange alternatives. You will join a young, dynamic department where everyone has their own responsibilities, but helps each other where necessary. Just graduated or already have some experience? You will be given all the space to train and grow.
What you'll do
What will you do?
• You collect information about our Ferry, Rail, and Deepsea suppliers and process it in the Transport Management System.
• You plan tank containers based on the capacity on the intermodal routes.
• In case of deviations from planned transports, you inform all involved departments.
• In case of delays (strikes, track or terminal works), you coordinate with colleagues and arrange alternatives.
• You think along about improvements in execution, so that the service for the customer becomes better.
• You measure the service level of the intermodal suppliers and report to Procurement.
