Information Manager Public Sector

• You possess a HBO (Higher Professional Education) and preferably a WO (University) degree. 
• You have between 5 and 10 years of experience within the (local or semi) government as an Information Manager.
• You have experience as an advisor in advising at a strategic level. 
• You have the power of persuasion to bring people along with your vision. And in the interest of good information provision.
• You have knowledge of the IT and information landscape and process management. 
• You are accessible, communicatively skilled, and connecting - even where opposing interests are involved - and you can coach and manage in an understandable way.
• Additionally, you are at home in change management and project management methodologies.
• Naturally, you are very proficient in the Dutch language, both in writing and speaking. 

For our Public Consulting pillar, we are looking for an experienced Information Manager to carry out assignments on an interim basis for our clients. Changes within the government follow one another increasingly fast. The political context and decision-making must align with this pace. Civil organizations, residents, and entrepreneurs are becoming increasingly demanding and can therefore find it harder to follow the changes. Therefore, it is crucial that organizations identify and determine which direction of solution regarding the challenges is desirable. As an Information Manager, you work at a strategic or tactical level on issues at the intersection of IT, information, and the organization, often at municipalities but sometimes also at ministries or Executive Agencies (ZBOs). You translate developments and trends in the field of information and digitalization into concrete policy proposals and projects. Based on your expertise, you look beyond the boundaries of your field to optimally support the organization together with the operations teams. Additionally, we are looking for a true bridge builder.

Guiding tasks:

• Developing and formulating information policy and information strategy at our clients.
• Analyzing external developments (legislation, technology, operations) and

translating these into the consequences for the organization's own information management.

• Coordinating and delivering a multi-year information plan and a roadmap for your client.
• Coordinating the inventory of the domain's information needs and the translation thereof into concrete projects.
• Translating i-Vision and i-Policy into initiatives, measures, and choices.
• Carrying out preliminary investigations and (having) drafting business cases.
• Responsible for the coordination and functional direction of the BIM Organization (only for the social domain).
• Advising the MT and the organization proactively and reactively on i-developments.
• Advisory role in cross-domain projects.
•  Advising on the starting up and prioritizing of initiatives and projects within the domain.

As an Information Manager, you are able to perform the above tasks for our government clients because you have knowledge of the service delivery and process chains of the domain. You know which problems are playing out within the professional department and you know and/or analyze the causes. In this role, you are the tactical-strategic right hand who picks up and executes information issues from the MT.
