As Sales Manager Inland Waterway Shipping, you are responsible for commercial growth within your market segment 'inland waterway shipping'. You are active in the market, visiting customers, identifying opportunities, and translating these into successful projects. In doing so, you are supported by a team of sales and product specialists whom you provide direction. This role is primarily focused on sales and relationship management, not on full-time people management.

• Expanding existing customer relationships and developing new business.
• Advising customers on propulsion, steering, and maneuvering systems.
• Preparing, presenting, and negotiating quotes and contracts.
• Achieving commercial objectives within the inland waterway shipping market.
• Representing Damen Marine Components at trade fairs, events, and at customer sites.
• Leading and coordinating the team that supports you during commercial processes.
• Thinking along regarding the commercial strategy and further growth of the business.

• HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of working and thinking.
• A strong network within the maritime sector.
• Experience in a commercial role within a technical environment.
• Affinity with maritime technology.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurship, independence, and persuasiveness.
