The role

What do you do as a Service Coordinator at Crown?

Imagine: a service technician encounters a technical problem at a customer site that they have never seen before.

Or an account manager receives a customer inquiry for which no standard solution exists.

Or a modification comes in from Crown EMEA that needs to be assessed and rolled out.

Those are often the moments when colleagues turn to you.

As a Service Coordinator, you are the technical expert that colleagues can rely on.
You help colleagues further when a question becomes just a bit more complicated than usual. Sometimes you search for the solution yourself, sometimes you coordinate with suppliers or colleagues within Crown EMEA, but ultimately you ensure that everyone can move forward again.

You spend a lot of time on technical reports, analyses, and documentation, but at least as important is the support you provide to service technicians, Field Service Managers, and colleagues from Sales and Rental.

No two days are the same, and that is exactly what makes this position interesting.

You work primarily from Almere, but you certainly won't be sitting behind a desk all week. You will also visit customers or support colleagues on-site to examine technical issues in practice.

Why Crown?

Crown is one of the largest manufacturers of forklifts and internal transport equipment in the world. Yet, many colleagues do not describe Crown Netherlands as a multinational.

" We are a global top brand and a family business, and you feel that personal involvement within Crown Netherlands every day"

Many colleagues have been working at Crown for years. Not only because of the technology, but especially because of the freedom, the trust, and the atmosphere within the organization.

The lines are short, colleagues know each other, and if someone needs help, there is always someone ready to think along.

What will you do?

You support the service organization with technical issues and are involved in, among other things:

  • Technical support for service technicians, Field Service Managers, and colleagues from Sales and Rental
  • Special customer requests, modifications, and custom solutions
  • Technical reports and analyses
  • Warranty and claim issues
  • Contact with suppliers and Crown EMEA
  • Technical projects and field modifications
  • Identifying improvements in processes, products, and services
  • Registering training and development needs within the service organization

A large part of your time is spent analyzing and documenting technical issues. The remaining time, you support colleagues, customers, and projects with technical advice.

Who are we looking for?

You don't necessarily have to have been a service technician.

More important is that you have technical insight, enjoy solving problems, and like helping colleagues further.

Perhaps you currently work as a technical specialist, production planner, technical support employee, technical coordinator, or senior technician who wants to make a step towards the office.

In addition, you have:

  • MBO 4+ or HBO working and thinking level
  • Experience within a technical environment
  • Affinity with technology, internal transport, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics
  • Good communication skills
  • A structured way of working
  • A good command of the Dutch and English languages

What do we offer?

A position with a lot of freedom, responsibility, and technical challenge.

In addition, we offer, among other things:

  • A salary appropriate to your knowledge and experience
  • 40 free days per year (27 vacation days and 13 ADV days)
  • 8% holiday allowance
  • A profit-sharing scheme
  • An excellent pension scheme
  • Travel allowance
  • Plenty of training and development opportunities
