Junior Supply Chain Planner

As a Junior Supply Chain Planner, you are responsible for the optimal balance between availability and inventory costs of your product groups. Additionally, you are responsible for the delivery performance of vendors and ensure that the inventory strategy aligns with the strategic and commercial plans of your team. During the first six months, you will receive personal guidance within a full team, so that you learn all the ins and outs of the profession as quickly as possible. After this period, you may be assigned your own area, possibly in another team.

• You translate commercial plans into a smart inventory and purchasing strategy, from long-term planning to last-minute reorders.
• You monitor daily whether ordered products arrive on time and take corrective action by chasing suppliers and keeping your data up-to-date.
• You are the link between your Category Team and the Warehouse: you continuously weigh capacity, value, and risks against each other to make the best choices.
• You monitor delivery performance based on SLAs and set up improvement plans so that our customers receive their orders when we promise them.
• You dive critically into forecasts and inventory levels, identify opportunities and bottlenecks, and celebrate with your team the moments when you reordered just in time to prevent a sold-out icon.

• A completed commercial HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree.
• Due to the supplier contact, it is important that you have a good command of the Dutch language.
• Affinity with or demonstrable Supply Chain related experience is a plus.
