Managing and directing procurement and bidding processes from initiation through to the submission of the proposal to the customer, in close cooperation with tender engineers, including drafting bid documents, evaluating quotes, and conducting negotiations.
Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing various procurement activities, such as RFQs, purchase orders, and statements of work, in compliance with legal and internal guidelines.
Collaborating with internal stakeholders (including Legal, Tender, Cost Control, project teams, and SCM) to translate procurement needs into contract terms and to mitigate risks.
Monitoring contract performance, identifying potential bottlenecks, and guiding the resolution of disputes or breaches of contract.
Developing and implementing best practices, policies, and procedures in the field of procurement to optimize efficiency and compliance.
Conducting market research and supplier analyses to support strategic sourcing initiatives.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements of Hitachi Energy.
Completed bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field.
At least 3 years of relevant work experience in technical procurement, contract management, or bid administration, preferably within a large, international organization.
Fluent in Dutch (spoken and written) and a good command of English.
Demonstrable experience in drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial contracts.
Sound knowledge of procurement processes, contract law, and risk management.
Experience with contract management software and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-changing environment.
Certification in Procurement (e.g., NEVI, C.P.M., CPSM) or Contract Management (e.g., CFCM) is a plus.
