The role

Analyzing, (functional) testing, debugging... What is it that you actually don't do as a test engineer with us!?

As a test engineer, every workday is different. The complex products we make for our customers utilize process and functional testers. Failures from these are analyzed and testers are debugged. This is done in collaboration with our Test Development team, who have developed, built, and released our testers. The largest part of your workday is spent on practical and analytical activities.

In everything you do, you ensure the correct analyses and their processing. As a result, deviations are filtered and signaled, root causes are identified and resolved, and the production process continues to improve.

What you'll do

A glimpse into your activities as a test engineer:

  • Testing prototypes: measuring in a separate test setup on your workbench.

  • Debugging/functional testing in Labview: for example, after a failure on the functional tester.

  • Sustainable analysis: finding out what happened, why it happened, and how we can prevent this in the future.

  • Repair of failed products; failure after AOI, Flying probe, or functional testers, or returns from the customer.

  • Internal meetings: for example, with your colleagues from the Quality, Engineering, etc. departments.

  • Technical challenging: not only with Benchmark colleagues, but sometimes also with the customer.
