As Manager Manufacturing Engineering within our PCBA team, you will work with a driven team of 15 to 20 colleagues on the industrialization of complex electronics. You and your team, consisting of Industrialization Engineers, work together on a structured and effective setup of our production processes, utilizing the production processes and standards developed by process engineering. Central to this are understanding requirements and desires and managing risks. You ensure good collaboration with, among others, process engineering, production, and supply chain.
A glimpse of your activities as Manager Manufacturing Engineering:
You are the leader of the PCBA Industrialization team and work with the team on motivation and job satisfaction.
You help shape the strategy of the Manufacturing Engineering department, within which the Industrialization team operates.
You provide coaching and training to bring up and maintain the competencies of your team.
You coordinate resource needs within the various project and program teams.
You help set priorities, coordinate with management, and escalate structural bottlenecks where necessary.
You work with your team on improving work processes, so that we can better serve our customers, both with product delivery and with efficient projects.
For this role, we are looking for a connecting and coaching team leader who empowers employees and encourages them to develop solutions independently. You act as a coach and mentor, create ownership within the team, and support employees in their professional growth. In doing so, you know how to find the right balance between achieving high-quality results in the short term and continuously improving processes, working methods, and performance for the future.
Working at Benchmark means working in a dynamic work environment. You work together with all disciplines in the lifecycle of a product, from product design to process optimization.
You work within the Manufacturing Engineering department, alongside the Industrialization team of Box Build Racks & Cabinets, alongside Process Engineering, and alongside the Technical & Facility Services team.
Demonstrable HBO/university level of working and thinking through a completed education in electronics, mechanical engineering, or another technical field.
Extensive relevant work experience within a similar role regarding the industrialization of complex products. An electronics background is a plus, but not necessary. Industrialization knowledge is necessary.
Strong coaching skills; able to provide structure and strengthen the team.
Goal-oriented and structured way of working.
Proficiency in the Dutch and English languages.
