• A completed university (WO) or higher professional education (HBO) degree in Civil Engineering or a similar technical field;

• Extensive experience (at least 8 years) as a plan developer within a contracting construction company, with demonstrable results in complex development processes;

• Strong in conceptual thinking and translating ideas into feasible plans; creative in finding innovative solutions;

• Highly skilled analytically, with a sharp eye for commercial opportunities and risks;

As a Senior Plan Developer at Ballast Nedam West in Capelle aan den IJssel, you are the driving force in the design phase of our diverse and inspiring construction projects, where you are actively involved from the SO/VO (schematic design/preliminary design). You are responsible for the development of the design, permits, specifications, and drawings. Naturally, you also consider the budget, feasibility, quality, and whether everything is ready within the planned time. You draft plan tests, perform risk analyses, and are involved in making selections and presentations. By looking at project challenges with great energy and substantive creativity, both within and outside your field of expertise, you make projects feasible and real. You do all this together with your enthusiastic colleagues, while you oversee the process.

Thanks to your strong project control, you always have insight into both the technical manufacturability and the financial feasibility of a project. In this way, you eliminate failure costs and risks and ensure the conclusion of the right contracts. You communicate extensively with external stakeholders such as clients, advisors, governments, and subcontractors.
