Business Procurement Category Manager Packaging

• A completed HBO or WO degree, for example in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Procurement Management.
• Demonstrable experience in a strategic role in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or Procurement.
• Knowledge of category management methodologies and supplier management.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with spend and market analyses.
• Experience with procurement and reporting tools.
• A proactive, connecting, and result-oriented attitude.

• Experience with packaging materials or packaging procurement is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English. Knowledge of the German language is a plus.

As Business Procurement Category Manager Packaging, you will be part of the procurement organization within Aviko's Business Group. You will operate in an international, ambitious environment and interact intensively with colleagues within Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and R&D, as well as with suppliers and other external partners.

You will work in a professional Procurement environment that is fully in development and makes an important contribution to the strategic objectives of the organization. This gives you the space to take initiative, connect stakeholders, and make a visible impact on innovation, sustainability, quality, and costs. At the same time, you will contribute to the further professionalization of both the packaging category and the procurement function.

In this role, it is about more than sourcing and negotiating. With your persuasiveness, you bring interests together, influence decision-making, and create support for strategic choices and improvement initiatives. You report to the Business Partner Procurement.

Your main responsibilities are:

• Developing, implementing, and refining the category strategy for packaging.
• Translating internal needs and external market developments into strategic choices and concrete plans.
• Performing spend, market, and risk analyses to identify opportunities and improvements.
• Managing and optimizing the supplier portfolio, including segmentation, performance management, compliance, and risk management.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and acting as a strategic sparring partner for the business.
• Stimulating supplier development and initiating innovations in the areas of sustainability, quality, and efficiency.
• Realizing savings, improved service levels, and sustainable value creation.
• Contributing to the further professionalization and transformation of Procurement within Aviko and Cosun, where you will use joint standards and best practices where relevant.

You are a strategically strong and entrepreneurial procurement professional. You oversee complex issues, understand diverse interests, and know how to bring people along with your vision. You communicate clearly, build relationships easily, and combine analytical insight with decisiveness.
