Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field
Internationally certified Lead Auditor (IRCA)
Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics, international transport, multimodal transport, cold chain, supply chain management, and value added logistics services
10+ years of proven experience in freight sourcing, procurement management, tendering, and contract negotiations
Strong knowledge of TMS, OMS, and 4PL management models, including EDI/API interfaces
Experience with freight indices and predictive tools (SCFI, NEA, Pantia, etc.) for market insights
Strong negotiation, project management, and change management skills
Result-oriented with demonstrable successes in cost savings, compliance, and innovative sourcing solutions
Experience with procurement management systems such as Coupa and AEO compliance
Strong communication, negotiation, and consultancy skills towards senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

The Freight Procurement Manager plays a strategic role, combining procurement leadership with internal consultancy within the organization. You are responsible for the full tender process, sourcing, and contracting of transport solutions for all transport modes (deep sea, short sea, inland waterway, rail, road, multimodal) and temperature regimes (ambient, chilled, frozen). The goal is to deliver cost-efficient, compliant, and scalable transport solutions.
Leading end-to-end freight procurement including tender management, sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier selection for international and national flows
Advising on and implementing a freight sourcing strategy, ensuring cost-efficiency, service quality, compliance (AEO, governance, quality), and sustainability goals
Building and maintaining partnerships with Logistics Service Providers for robust, scalable, and innovative transport solutions
Negotiating contracts that support operational continuity and strategic flexibility
Functional crisis management and problem-solving upon request
Sourcing transport and visibility solutions to increase visibility and control
Advising on and implementing 4PL models, market information tools, and data-driven analyses to anticipate market shifts and forecast costs
Internal consultancy towards senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including contract advice, sourcing models, and innovative solutions
Implementation of governance, compliance, and sustainability at LSPs and in all freight sourcing activities
Support for warehouse and infrastructure projects, including procurement and process design
