What you'll get

Depending on your experience, this position falls into scale 11 or 12, with a gross monthly salary between € 5,946.23 and € 9,102.94 (based on 36 hours per week).

Furthermore, we offer:

• A 36-hour work week that can be flexibly scheduled, such as 4x9 and working from home

• Based on full-time employment: 208.8 leave hours per year

The role

Are you an experienced payroll tax specialist ready for your next step? For example, do you currently work at a Big 4 firm and want to use your tax expertise not just for various clients, but to actually become part of one organization? Then this might be your next step.

What you'll do

As a payroll tax specialist at ASN Bank, you will become the go-to subject matter expert for everything related to payroll taxes. At the same time, you will be given the space to apply your tax knowledge more broadly within the bank. You will work in a small, expert team and be close to the business. You will advise, ask critical questions, take a stance, and subsequently see what happens as a result of your advice.

That means you don't just advise on the tax question, but you are also involved in the solution. You will work together with, among others, Payroll Administration, Finance, Legal, and Compliance, and have contact with colleagues responsible for products and services.

Because you work in a small team, your role is broad. In addition to payroll taxes, you might be involved in, for example, assessing new products for tax aspects, implementing new laws and regulations, mentoring a junior colleague, or identifying and managing tax risks. Do you have an affinity for technology? Then there is also room to bring your colleagues along in new (tax) technological developments.

With this, you are not only a specialist but also a broad tax sparring partner within the bank. Are you not afraid of a robust technical discussion? Great. We are looking for someone who advises independently, dares to take a stance, and can bring others along in that.

Your responsibilities are

  • Advising on tax issues in the field of payroll taxes (such as WKR, hiring of personnel, RVU)
  • Mapping and managing tax risks within the framework of the Individual Supervision Plan and the Tax Control Framework;
  • Maintaining good contacts with internal departments, advisors, and the Tax Authorities;

What you bring

As a payroll tax specialist, you are substantively strong, driven, and practically minded. You work independently and take responsibility, but you also actively seek collaboration. You are a robust conversation partner who makes complex tax issues understandable and, through your expertise, knows how to bring others along in your advice. Furthermore, you are entrepreneurial, proactive, and enthusiastic.
