Clinical Geneticist

As the only comprehensive cancer center, the Netherlands Cancer Institute/ Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (NKI/AVL) is unique in the Netherlands. In multidisciplinary teams, a tailored treatment is sought for every patient. As a clinical geneticist at the NKI/AVL, you will work in this inspiring environment and will certainly be part of multiple multidisciplinary teams, where attention to heredity and the consequences of DNA test results are part of the care for every patient and his/her family. Working at the AVL is characterized by a strong patient focus and short lines of communication between healthcare providers.

• You are a clinical geneticist or will soon complete your training.

• Demonstrable interest in oncogenetics is a plus.

• You are an enthusiastic colleague for whom high-quality patient care is the top priority. Additionally, you enjoy taking on organizational tasks, participating in various committees, and committing yourself to care innovation and improvement.

• You manage your time efficiently and are able to combine different activities well; you set concrete goals and realize them.

The basis for your employment conditions is in accordance with the AMS regulation (CAO hospitals). You will receive from us:

• A one-year contract for 36 hours per week, with a view to a permanent contract; 

• A gross monthly salary appropriate to your years of experience in accordance with the AMS regulation;

• An annual 8% holiday allowance and 30 vacation days on a full-time basis;

• A travel allowance of € 0.23 per km;

• Free parking at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek, but with our bicycle scheme and discounts on public transport, we also make it attractive for you to leave the car behind;
