HBO/WO Internship: Data Management Improvement

• You will receive an internship at a globally operating healthcare company. An internship is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with it; perhaps one of Abbott's companies will even become your future employer.
• You will be assigned a technical supervisor with whom you will spar about the substantive progress of your assignment, and you will receive a mentor from the Project Management department. The supervisor/mentor will discuss progress with you and, if necessary, liaise with your educational institution.
• To do your work well, you will be given access to the systems with an Abbott laptop.
• And finally, you will receive an internship allowance of € 500,- (gross per month for full-time).

We are looking for a Data Management improvement intern!

• the expected value for internal customers;

• risks, dependencies, and compliance with internal guidelines;
• the possibilities and conditions for the responsible application of AI.

You will test the designed framework with various stakeholders and validate to what extent it is usable, executable, and transferable within the organization. Where possible, you will apply the framework to existing or representative practical cases. Based on the results, you will propose improvements and substantiate which organizational, procedural, and technical adjustments are necessary.

Finally, you will work out an implementation proposal. You will document the framework, describe the required roles and working methods, and develop supporting material for end users. Depending on the scope of the assignment, a pilot, prototype, or training may also be part of the implementation.

The expected results of the assignment are:

• An analysis of the current situation, including processes, data tools used, decision-making, costs, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• A clear division of roles and responsibilities between the various actors involved, for example, elaborated in a RACI model or similar governance structure.
• A validated framework for assessing and prioritizing data, analytics, automation, and AI initiatives.
• A detailed overview of access requirements, security conditions, and responsibilities, including a proposal for the technical setup.
• A substantiated implementation advice, including prerequisites, risks, required resources, and possible next steps.
• Documentation and training material for the involved administrators, decision-makers, and end users.

Is pursuing a Master's degree and wants to conduct a master's thesis. Furthermore, the student has the following knowledge and skills

• Knowledge of subjects such as computer science and data management
• Understanding of MS Office 365 power suite applications
• Understanding of AI models.
• Has an eye for detail and for the bigger picture.
• Works with colleagues from the Netherlands and with all kinds of other nationalities, therefore good Dutch and English speaking and writing skills are important.
