NDT Technician

Are you technically strong, research-oriented, and do you want to contribute to a safe and reliable railway? As an NDT Technician at VolkerRail, you are an inspector who ensures that the quality of the track is transparent and remains at the highest level. With your specialized inspections, you provide crucial information that helps us gain an insight into the status and quality of the track!

Work location: nationwide

In this role, you work with advanced NDT techniques such as ultrasonic testing, visual inspections, and eddy current measurements to analyze tracks and switches. You process measurement data into clear reports with conclusions and advice, so that clients have reliable quality information available in a timely manner.

A glimpse of your tasks

• Performing NDT measurements and inspections on the track;

• Analyzing measurement data and reporting findings;

• Advising on maintenance, renewal, and research methods;

• Directing and supporting (measurement) technical teams and projects;

• Ensuring quality, safety, and representation of the measurement service.

You play a coordinating role in larger measurement projects, direct measurement technicians, and support research and the preparation of quotes. You are also responsible for the maintenance of equipment and documentation, contribute to innovation within the department, and ensure clear communication towards clients. Working safely according to applicable regulations (CAO, VWS, RVW, and ARBO) is, of course, a matter of course here.

• A one-year contract with the intention to extend to an indefinite period;

• A salary of € 3,800 to € 5,500 per month, depending on age and experience;

• An MBO-4 diploma in a technical field;

• You have completed Ultrasonic Testing Level 2 training - preferably in the railway research sector;

• Willingness to work irregular hours (day, night, and weekend shifts);

• Willingness to be deployable nationwide.
