What we're looking for

HBO or WO degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Operations Management, or a similar field.
At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Process Improvement.
Demonstrable experience in analyzing and optimizing business or supply chain processes.
Experience with stakeholder management and working in an international environment.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex issues into concrete improvement actions.
Experience with ERP systems, data analysis, and/or supply chain tooling.
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.

The role

As a Strategic Supply Chain Compliance Specialist, you will be part of the central procurement organization of VDL ETG Eindhoven. You play an important role in further professionalizing processes, ensuring compliance, and realizing strategic procurement initiatives. In this role, you develop, optimize, and secure strategic procurement processes, translate compliance requirements into practical guidelines, and support the implementation of new systems.

You work closely with various departments within VDL and act as a sparring partner for both operational and strategic stakeholders. Additionally, you play an active role in improvement projects that make the procurement organization future-proof. You collaborate across the organization with other VDL companies, suppliers, and knowledge institutions, and make an important contribution to the further digitalization and data-driven development of the procurement function.

What you'll do

Developing, optimizing, and securing procurement processes, procedures, and contract templates regarding Compliance
Translating and monitoring compliance requirements, such as information security, sustainability, and export regulations, for our Supply Chain
Executing strategic improvement initiatives in the areas of sourcing, digitalization, risk management, and cost reduction
Supporting the implementation of new procurement and financial systems, including testing and training
Actively managing internal and external relationships, including VDL companies, suppliers, and knowledge institutions
Performing analyses to improve internal processes and creating reports for customers or government agencies.
