The role

A renovation project rarely goes exactly as planned on paper. As Major Maintenance Project Leader at HulstFlier, you maintain oversight, make decisions, and ensure the work continues. You hold ultimate responsibility for your installation projects in which we extensively improve the sustainability and modernize existing homes and buildings.

From preparation to delivery, you maintain control over technology, planning, costs, and results. You bridge the gap between the office and the field and ensure that work preparers, technicians, and clients know what needs to be done.

What you'll do

You can regularly be found on the projects. You want to know what is happening on-site and use your technical knowledge to drive quality and execution. Especially in renovation, not everything is fixed in advance. You assess what is needed, coordinate solutions, and ensure that the work can proceed.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Managing installation projects, from preparation to delivery

  • Coordinating with work preparers, technicians, and clients

  • Monitoring planning, progress, and technical quality

  • Assessing and resolving technical bottlenecks during execution

  • Monitoring project budgets and adjusting in case of deviations

  • Managing deadlines and invoicing

  • Identifying and coordinating additional work and reduced work

  • Ensuring a technically sound and financially healthy delivery

In doing so, you keep an eye on the residents and users of the buildings in which we work. You communicate clearly, make achievable agreements, and ensure that the parties involved continue to work well together.

You are given a lot of freedom to organize your projects and your work week independently. There is no rigid schedule or strictly predefined way of working. We trust that you set priorities, take responsibility, and ensure that things run smoothly.

"The versatility and the switching between projects is exactly what makes the work fun. You work for clients, but also for residents. The challenge is to do it right for everyone, and that only succeeds if everything is correct." - René Bovendorp, Renovation and Maintenance Project Leader at HulstFlier

What do you bring?

You have a solid technical foundation and understand how work proceeds on-site. You can translate that knowledge into a feasible schedule, clear agreements, and a good project result.

  • HBO level of work and thinking, preferably in the direction of mechanical engineering or installation technology

  • At least five years of experience within installation technology

  • Technical knowledge and experience with renovation and existing construction

  • Insight into the execution and the financial side of projects

  • You take initiative, maintain an overview, and adjust where necessary

  • You think in solutions, even when situations are not clear in advance

  • You communicate clearly and know how to engage colleagues and clients

You feel comfortable in an environment where we communicate directly, honor agreements, and work together towards results. Additionally, you are open to further developing yourself.

What do you get from us?

At HulstFlier, you will receive a responsible position with the space to organize your projects independently. We work with short lines of communication and colleagues who think along and help each other.

You can count on:

  • A good salary matching your experience

  • 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days

  • 8% holiday allowance

  • Profit sharing: achieving results together also means sharing together

  • A good pension scheme

  • A company car

  • The right equipment and clear agreements, from a collar in the winter to sunscreen in the summer

  • Space for training, development, and career growth

  • Attention to you as a person and a pleasant working environment

We are serious about our work, but there is also room for a joke and celebrating successes together. On Fridays, we have lunch together and once a month we conclude with drinks at the office.

HulstFlier is part of VDK Groep. This allows us to combine the short lines and involvement of our own team with the possibilities and impact of a large national organization.
