You ensure that processes regarding quality, health, safety, and environment are not only correct on paper, but are also actually complied with and continuously improved. You are the pivot in developing, implementing, and maintaining the HSE management system and actively contribute to a safe and efficient working environment for everyone.

The special thing about this position is that you work for Tijssens, but you also perform your duties for another company within the VDK Group (depending on your place of residence). It is therefore a combined role, in which you collaborate with different teams and work on diverse projects. This ensures a lot of variety and challenge in your work. It is therefore important that you enjoy working at different locations and that you do not find it a problem to travel regularly.

• Developing and maintaining the HSE policy and system;

• Initiating and implementing improvement actions to guarantee quality and safety;

• Conducting incident investigations at project locations (accidents, environmental damage, etc.) and determining corrective and preventive measures;

• Organizing and managing workplace inspections;

• Planning and providing toolbox meetings;

• Performing internal audits and guiding external audits;

• Advising and supporting project leaders with H&S plans and TRAs;

• Reporting to management on performance and points for improvement within HSE;

• Drafting and updating RI&E and occupational health and safety (ARBO) plans of approach;

• Analyzing reports and drafting statistics;

• Managing and archiving quality and safety registrations;

• Maintaining contact with certifying institutions;

• Assessing suppliers and subcontractors on HSE criteria.
