What we're looking for
Who are you?
You have an MBO 3 or 4 in mechanical engineering and experience in a technical environment. You know what it is like to work on complex installations and you feel responsible for safety and quality. You speak English and have a B driving license. You already have VCA-VOL, or you are willing to obtain it.
Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:
- You communicate clearly and record your work well
- You have a positive attitude and bring energy to the team
- You work both independently and enjoy collaborating
- Safety is always your number one priority
- You are eager to learn and open to new ideas
You get energy from technology and from working together on smart solutions. You like to take responsibility, but you also always seek connection with your colleagues. With your practical approach, you make plans concrete and ensure that the work is carried out well and safely.
The role
Vattenfall is one of the largest energy companies in Europe. We generate electricity and heat and supply energy to millions of customers. We do this in Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Denmark, Finland, and the Netherlands.
With approximately 21,000 employees, we are making a future possible in which we are less dependent on the use of fossil fuels for our energy. We are at the forefront of the transition to a sustainable energy system. To be able to achieve this ambitious goal, we are looking for talented individuals who, alongside their passion for their own role, also have a strong team spirit and want to contribute to supporting a meaningful corporate mission.
What you'll do
Do you want to work on large installations and contribute to a future without fossil fuels? Then we have a great challenge for you!
At Vattenfall, you will work on mechanical components of our power plant in Diemen, and other heat installations around Amsterdam and Almere. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that everything continues to run safely and reliably. You work on maintenance, resolve malfunctions, and think along about how things can be improved. In this way, you make an impact every day for technology and for the future.
What are you going to do?
You will perform maintenance on components such as gas turbines, steam turbines, boilers, and piping. Sometimes you do this independently, sometimes with direct colleagues, and sometimes together with external partners. You ensure that everything proceeds according to plan and that the workplace is safe. Afterwards, you neatly record your findings and provide practical advice on how to approach things more intelligently.
You work in a team where collaboration is central. You have contact with colleagues from various disciplines and actively contribute to improving our installations. Together, we ensure that everything keeps running - safely, efficiently, and future-proof.
