Royal Swinkels is growing rapidly alongside digital technology. Our breweries and bottling plants are continuously being further developed and professionalized. In doing so, Operational Technology (OT) plays an increasingly large role.

Within our global OT organization, we are looking for a Senior Datacenter & Workplace Engineer who will take a pioneering role in designing, standardizing, and further developing our OT infrastructure. You are the technical authority in the field of datacenter components, Windows server environments, OT workplaces, and Identity & Access Management within production environments.

In this role, you combine architecture, standardization, and technical leadership with a pragmatic hands-on mentality. You work closely with the global OT team, local OT teams at our breweries, and external partners. You ensure that our OT environments are safe, stable, and future-proof worldwide—and remain so.

• Designing, developing, and managing the global OT infrastructure (servers, virtualization, storage, workplace, IAM)

• Defining and implementing global OT standards, lifecycle policies, and management processes

• Taking the technical lead in projects such as migrations, upgrades, segmentation initiatives, and security improvements

• Analyzing existing OT servers, applications, and workloads and translating these into improvement plans

• Advising OT teams and stakeholders on architectural choices, risks, and best practices

• Coordinating suppliers and internal teams during implementations and changes

• Documenting architecture, configurations, and management standards

• Being prepared to participate in a 24/7 on-call roster if necessary (with appropriate compensation)

• You understand the OT mindset: working in a production-critical environment where continuity, safety, and reliability always come first
