Keep the beer wild. Keep the critters out.
At Uiltje, we love pushing beer in directions it probably wasn't intended for at all. Gigantic amounts of hops. Strange ingredients. Lab Series experiments. Fresh IPAs. Barrel-aged monsters. And occasionally something that makes everyone in the brewery wonder: are we really doing this? Usually, the answer is: yes.
But experimenting only works if the quality is rock solid. And that is where you come in. We are looking for a QA Specialist with a background in Microbiology, Food Technology, or Food Science, who is curious about beer, fermentation, and everything that happens between the raw material and the final can. You don't need twenty years of experience in a brewery. You do need a scientific mindset, a hands-on mentality, and the courage to speak up when something isn't right.
You will join our small, international production team in Haarlem, featuring seven nationalities, enormous brewing knowledge, and very little interest in boring beer. You will work closely with our Master Brewer on quality, research, product decisions, and improvements within the brewery.
You continuously improve our HACCP, food safety, and QA systems and execute the microbiology and quality program.
You perform sampling, analysis, and monitoring and safeguard the quality and food safety within the brewery.
You investigate deviations, complaints, and process disruptions and ensure effective corrective measures.
You manage QA documentation, SOPs, traceability, and audit preparations and support internal and external audits.
As a prevention officer, you maintain the RI&E and the Plan of Approach, identify safety risks, and work closely with colleagues and occupational health professionals, while also providing practical support on the work floor when necessary.
Someone who gets just a little too interested when a fermentation starts behaving strangely.
